The Heede Foundation / Our story

Our neighbors’ futures are connected to our own.

The Heede Foundation began with a simple belief: when we show up for each other, our whole community moves forward.

From a shared belief to shared action.

Eddie Nyasulu, Davies Chirwa, and Grace Maseko founded The Heede Foundation in August 2024. Rooted in Federal Way, our work brings neighbors together around education, access, dignity, and belonging.

Our five program areas reflect the things families need to thrive: learning, technology, health, rights and legal help, and a supportive community. We focus on immigrant families, BIPOC communities, women, and young people.

We believe in listening first, respecting every person’s experience, and building opportunities with our community—not just for it.
